Mornings with God

Today I woke up, hopped on social media and quickly got off. Because I told y’all I was changing that habit. It’s a very difficult one to break, but I am diligently trying to.

Brewed myself a cup of joe, grabbed a cozy blanket, the bible and my journal and had me some real good God time. One of my devotionals referenced 1 Peter 1:2 so I spent my morning readings with Peter, joe and God.

Let’s just say we had some pretty awesome convos. Much needed and way overdue. Peter told me about “an inheritance that will never perish, spoil or fade- kept in heaven for me” and he also mentioned that I needed to “prepare my mind for action, be self-controlled; set my hope fully on the grace to be given me” and left me with “be holy in all you do”.

This is the real talk I needed. I am so grateful for The Word and the wealth knowledge it holds, for grace and the freedom to worship a GREAT God.
