Persistent Prayer 09|30

Monday, November 17, 2014 | Day 9 of 30

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians  1:6

Persistent prayer.

“Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, yours wives and your homes.” Nehemiah 4:14

Whenever I’m faced with opposition I curl up and take it a sign that if it isn’t easy, it’s not from God.

Such a fool.

Like the saying goes “God never said it would be easy, but it would be worth it.” The greatest moments of my life came with the most persistence and a mentality of: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The greatest rewards have been after praying persistently – I can not forget that. And it never was just me praying, it was my sisters in faith too. Just like the exiles who rebuilt the city wall in Jerusalem, it wasn’t just one person, it was many – working, praying, standing on guard – I know that my these special friends and prayer warriors are people I will always need to help me get through this life.

Building the wall of faith is a team effort.
