“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
“Who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with love and compassion.” Psalm 103:4
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” Psalm 103:8
Whatta day, whatta day! I’m so thankful to have a “Wonderful Counselor” who I can come to and vent, cry, or be silent with.
God just gets me.
I felt so overwhelmed by a “he said, she said” conversation with friends that it felt so good to excuse myself and just pray. Pray for discernment, wisdom, and the right words – if any. I’m so thankful for a slow to anger Counselor, because He shifts the mood in the room and I find myself being slow to anger as well – maybe even more compassionate, gracious and loving too.
I’m a work in progress.
And I’m thankful my Wonderful Counselor is willing to progress in working on my heart.
