Tuesday, December 2, 2014 | Day 24 of 30 Days of Journaling
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me besides still water, he restores my soul. He guides me in the path of righteousness for his name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint me in the presence my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23
Father, you know my heart so well. You show me scripture in my weeping that restore my soul. My whole being longs for you. You fulfill me. I think about the seasons that have passed and the seasons yet to come, and my fears are put to rest. They don’t exist in your presence. You have called me to follow you. You name me your daughter and have a place for me at your table.
You have not forgotten about me.
I could never thank you enough, Father. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life.
Surely, I will survive.
